Wine Room by Precision Builders
This is a conceptual plan we are developing for our clients in Keller, where we are currently contructing a 6,500 sqft residence. It will develop into a series of fantastic spaces to live... indoors and out.
As the Eye Center continues to go up, we have worked with our clients to create a design that captures their vision for how the inteiors will come together.
The metal framing is finishing up. It was good to see the sun again this week as the trusses go up.
Winter is here. It is time to take some precautions to protect your property from the freezing temperatures that are just around the corner.
13 WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR HOME THIS WINTER
Cover any outside shower valves.
Turn off any running water features.

Turn sprinklers off so drives and walks don't ice.
Make sure all covers are on yard valve boxes.
Ensure plants are watered well before freezes hit.
Remove garden hoses from faucets.
Let cold and hot water faucets drip during freezing weather.
Cover exposed exterior pipes with insulation and secure with tape.
Set thermostat no lower than 55°F, if property will be left vacant.
Cover exterior faucets with insulation.
Locate the main water shut off valve so you can find it in an emergency.
Keep a flashlight, jacket, and gloves handy in case an emergency arises
WHAT DO I DO IF A PIPE BREAKS?
If you have a pipe break, it is critical to act quickly. Water from a broken pipe can discharge thousands of gallons in a very short time. It is possible that by the time the damage is discovered, entire rooms could be flooded and walls could be getting wet. Precision Builders recommends the following:
Shut off the main water valve immediately.
Call a professional water cleanup company.
Mop up standing water on flooring surfaces, if possible.
Open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to promote warm air circulation.
Locate the frozen pipe and open a faucet.
Contact your insurance company to determine services covered.
Damages from freezing temperatures are preventable with the proper precautions. Please take time to protect your home this winter.
